Hi everyone!

It's been so long since I wrote a proper journal entry, let alone posted many paintings in a while! (I still have lots of art trades and requests to work on too! :fear:
The main reason is because I'm so busy with my last year in high school :( this year I've been studying Chemistry, Biology, Maths, English and Japanese!
These subjects are okay, but I would've much more preferred to be doing art subjects.

When I leave school I want to do visual arts and I.T so maybe webdesigns/coding or game designs or maybe even animating or programming. In general I want to do arts. I think these ideas are good and I look forward to doing them next year if I get into them. I also want to study languages :)

In general, this year has not been very good for me, I hope next year will be better, I think that it will be :D

Also, thank you too all my most recent watchers, and especially thank you for all favourites and comments I have recieved, I appreciate it very much :blowkiss:, and to new watchers, welcome!!

Ezio watercolour by InMyImagination
Ezio watercolour
painted down basic colours and values, and details a little bit.
I kind of like the quick look of this, the only more I may add to it is more details on the hood and perhaps a minor background. ^^

Watercolour palette and watercolour pencils.

Mood sketch 2 by InMyImagination
Mood sketch 2
quick sad/ moody sketchpaint before heading off to bed.

there are some parts I like about this: I like the textures on the rocks, and the colour palette I used, but, I don't like the way it looks so "flat" I wonder how I can get more contrast between the colours, and the ground in front and the grass behind looks very smudge-y. Maybe I will fix this.
I hear that if you paint greyscale first it is easier to show lighting values and contrast between objects.....
how else can i achieve a better contrast?
